Milestone Birthdays

We are constantly crossing thresholds and passing through initiatory phases, we often recognise these in the milestone birthdays which we ritualise often in a some kind of celebration. To honour these in ceremony is a beautiful way to dig deeply into the understanding of what it is we have moved through since the last milestone and where it is we choose to go in the space between now and the next. These can be done within the container of friends and family or privately.

Rites Of Passage / Coming-Of-Age Ceremonies

For teenagers or adults – in some African cultures, they believe a person cannot step fully into the phase of adulthood without this ceremony, they therefore remain in the realm of the teenage/child mindset until they complete the rite. In the Yoruba tribe they have a saying “without these rituals, the young men will burn the village down just to feel the heat”.

These ceremonies will create the space for the initiate to reach into themselves to find their truest, most connected sense of self, rooting them to Earth and Sky. Through this process they will know their own strength, edges, heart and purpose intimately. This will set them on their soul path forwards in this lifetime.

I also offer Saturn Returns rituals; I would usually create one ceremony to open the initiation and one at its closing roughly 2.5 years later.
